We began by convening as a team to define the identity we envisioned for Naturally. We opted for an interior-focused site featuring homeware and clothing. To establish a collective vision, we quickly sketched out the preliminary layout by hand.
We made a moodboard and chose what color scheme we should go for really quickly so that the computer graphic designer could start to make the products and animations of some products. We also made a clean logo for both website, favicon and to brand our objects and textiles with. The feeling was Natural, modernity, contemporary, future.
Next, me and David sat down and quickly made a graybox so that the developers could start build up the skeleton of the website since everything was due in a couple of weeks. We made the grayboxes for both the English and Swedish versions and after that we made the prototype with correct colors and built up a component library.
Our computer graphic designers concentrated on producing the products. We were actively involved in all aspects, including materials, colors, and other choices. They worked on both the physical objects and textiles, which were subsequently animated for the website's final version.
We promptly handed over all the work to the developers, with regular check-ins and adjustments throughout the process. We generated all the content for the site, including material and product descriptions, and shared everything to facilitate easy copy-pasting onto the website.
Lastly, we all came together and presented our version of Naturally in a theatre in Gothenburg. The overall reflection was that is was very stressful given the timeframe we got but extremely fun and we had such a good cooperation throughout this entire project.
